Case Study: Converting contracted dining to self-operated dining.
SEE HOW ONE N.C. SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY RE-COMMITTED TO THEIR RESIDENTS’ HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE.
Aldersgate is a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Charlotte, North Carolina, serving over 500 residents. The community is inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible (IDEA).
In early 2020, Aldersgate embarked on an organizational rebrand with 3rdThird Marketing, a division of 3rdPlus. As part of the research, it requested that Culinary Coach (also a division of 3rdPlus) review their dining program.
Aldersgate had tried three different dining contractors over five years, and none achieved the quality of food and customer service expected by Aldersgate.
After reviewing the results from the Culinary Coach’s Fresh Eyes Evaluation of the kitchen and dining room, input from the resident dining committee and resident/employee focus group results, Aldersgate decided to convert the dining program from contracted to self-operation.
This White Paper documents that journey and details key learnings, and resident satisfaction surveys from before and after the conversion.
